WHAT IS TEAM BRIT?
TEAM BRIT is a branch of KartForce; the charity of which Mark Allen is an Ambassador.
WHAT DOES TEAM BRIT DO?
TEAM BRIT enables injured soldiers the opportunity to progress from endurance Kart racing, to racing cars. Drivers are selected from KartForce, based on their driving skills as well as their ability to generate their own sponsorship and work the same as any other racing driver.
HOW DO SOLDIERS WITH MISSING LIMBS RACE WITH TEAM BRIT AND KARTFORCE?
Hand controls enable drivers to race in the same way that any other racing driver does; this enables injured troops to race on a level playing field against able-bodied drivers.
HOW IS TEAM BRIT DIFFERENT TO OTHER CHARITIES/ORGANISATIONS?
TEAM BRIT is the only team endurance car racing team made up of injured troops.
WHAT ARE YOUR AIMS?
The long-term aim is to make racing history by entering a team of injured troops into the world famous Le mans 24 hour endurance race. This would be the first time a team of injured troops have competed in the event.
